Kara Goucher - 2009 Boston Marathon

<p><span style="font-family: arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11px; line-height: 14px;">American Kara Goucher inspired the crowds in her first Boston Marathon appearance, leading the pack as the hotly contested women's race entered Cleveland Circle. (She ended up finishing third) Goucher had previously set an American record for best time in a debut marathon at the 2008 New York City Marathon.
